SDCC 2016: The Rest - Blizzard, XM Studios & Multiverse

Showed you guys so many of my favourite collectibles from so many different companies.. Here's the rest!

Multiverse Studio had the 1/6 Ayane Statue from the Ninja Gaiden series for sale at the con.

Beautiful-looking statue and it really compliments their Ryu Hayabusa Statue with it's pose and base.

Blizzard showcased the 2nd statue in their World of Warcraft series, Illidan.

Oh boy, this looks absolutely phenomenal. What a stunning piece! 1 of my favourite heroes from Warcraft 3, this one has to be a purchase for me!

XM Studios' The Darkness 1/4 Statue was on display at the Top Cow booth.

Another absolute stunner of a piece! Glad to have this pre-ordered, so just waiting for it's release. Going to be my first XM Studios' statue so pretty excited, having seen them grow so fast in the past few years. 

Already tipped to be a Statue of the year contender so we will see.. Whatever it is, it's going to be an amazing feeling just owning this piece.

That's about all in terms of collectibles from SDCC 2016 that I'm interested in. A few have already been pre-ordered and I should own them in the next few months or so. If budget permits, might grab a few more..

Multiverse Studio's Ninja Gaiden 1/6 Statue Retro Blue & Bludgeoning Staff variants Collection Pics

So you saw the Standard version of these? I actually bought these variants earlier, because they were limited to only 100 each! Thought they might be a little hard to find, if they sold out but seems like they are still available.

Here's the pics of the 2 variants of the Ninja Gaiden 1/6 Statue..

The Retro Blue variant

Got #63 of 100

Base is pretty much the same as the Standard version

Apart from having 2 swords, instead of 1 Sword and 1 Kunai, all the accessories are the same...

... and of course Ryu's outfit is in blue instead of black like the Standard version.

This variant is inspired by his original blue costume from the NES games, even though the outfit itself isn't. If only, eh?

Bludgeoning Staff variant

This other variant comes with a staff instead of blades

Again.. same base..

.. but did you notice the difference? This one is a lot more bloody than the other 2 versions.

This variant is also a lot more bloodier than the other 2 versions, with a lot of extra blood splatter on the base as well as on Ryu Hayabusa..

Bloody version looks awesome!

In the same black outfit as the standard version, but swapping weapons and the blood splatter makes this my slight favourite among the 3.

Did you notice how the scarves all look different on each statue? Not sure if it's just me or if they are all manufactured differently.. Either way, I like that they vary on each piece, gives it a little more uniqueness.

On a side note, for some reason, the bases reminds me of cookies.. Anyway..

Perhaps Multiverse Studio isn't well-known yet, but I think these are fantastic for any Ninja Gaiden fan, so it's strange that these are still up for sale. Considering, I gave in and bought these even though I'm not so much of a Ninja Gaiden fan, speaks for it.

These aren't one-off by the way, Multiverse Studio has already announced and revealed the next character in this line; Ayane.

And it looks great! Looks like a perfect companion piece for Ryu Hayabusa. 

I'll be skipping it though, not that hardcore of a fan plus I have no interest in this character. Hoping to see other Ryu Hayabusa statues in different outfits as well.

Multiverse Studio's Ninja Gaiden 1/6 Statue Standard Version Collection Pics

One of my 2015 Black Friday Deals! This went on 50% off and it was time to grab it!

It took a while to get here as they were delaying shipment because they wanted to check on quality assurance. There was a note on their site, stating heat might cause some quality issues with the statue. Was getting a bit annoyed and worried but let's see if it was worth it in the end..


The starting was good..

Absolutely love it when companies give some special care to the art box itself.

Let's take it out then..

The base is littered with body parts and blood. A wet look is given to the blood to make it look realistic but the insides of the body parts looks a bit cartoonish, which isn't actually a bad thing. It gets the point across without being a gore-fest.

Plenty of accessories.. 

hardly see statues with these many accessories. Almost makes it look like a figurine! 

Thankfully, there's an instruction manual to help me out.

Slots in the legs to put in the Kunai Blades..

The base is also accessorized.

Kunai Blades, Shurikens are strewn all over the base to give the statue a dynamic look, showing that Ryu Hayabusa is engaged in an on-going battle at the moment.

Alright, now for Ryu Hayabusa himself..

Love the action pose.. don't think a static pose would have done this character any justice. In full action!

And to answer my question if the wait was worth it.. it was! The piece was flawless, no paint chips or damage to the statue. All the accessories fit perfectly into their slots, no problem!

However.. the accessories are made of plastic and a bit cheap-looking initially.. but once you put them in their respective slots, they go well with the overall statue.

There's also a LED Light-up feature, will update with some pics later. (They didn't turn out as well in the first shot.) I also purchased the 2 variants for this: The Retro Blue variant and the Bludgeoning Staff variant. Will update with some pics later today..

This one is a very under-rated piece, it didn't seem to get the media attention as much as I think it should have. Couldn't find any unboxed pics of these myself. Hopefully these helps!

I'm not so much of a Ninja Gaiden player to be honest, in fact I have only tried a demo from one of the games. I deemed it too challenging at that point and didn't buy the games but I have always thought of Ryu Hayabusa as one of the coolest gaming characters.

I was hoping to see a Remastered version of the Sigma Trilogy for PS4 but nothing seems to be in the works at the moment. Hopefully, some time in the future.

Amazing statue that should get more recognition!
