Based on God of War 3's Kratos, this one was released several years after the game's release.
The NECA God of War figures were some of my first ever figures in my collection..
When NECA lost the license for God of War 3 back then, I was very disappointed. The figure from DC Direct wasn't too bad but it wasn't as good as what NECA produced.
In a surprise move though, NECA released the God of War 3 figure recently and I just had to have it.
Managed to get it at a sale, late last year, but un-boxing it only now..
Comes in a cool window box..
Inside the box is a small prop which is a cool thing to have!
Kratos is equipped with the Boots of Hermes..

Hercules' Nemean Cestus
Love the figure! Face details are so much better than what it used to be. One of the best-looking figures at this price and scale.
The Nemean Cestus accessories were a bit heavy and it was tough to get the hands to pose upwards but not a huge issue. Looks fantastic as it is.
There's a Kratos figure based on the current God of War. Looking forward to getting that soon and hopefully it will be just as good as this.
