Red Dead Redemption 2 - The Teases!

So, you have seen the teaser images? It is very highly likely that Rockstar Games are preparing to announce the highly-anticipated sequel to 2010's Red Dead Redemption.

Of course, at this point of time, it hasn't been confirmed officially that this is leading up to a RDR2 announcement. A remaster of the orignal RDR could very well happen and why not? RDR was one of the greatest games on PS3 and it would be a great chance for those who have never played it. Speaking of which, PC gamers are still waiting..

Or.. as a friend joked, it could be the build-up to GTA Online's Halloween DLC content.. Oh my!

However, everyone else seems to believe that the images are for RDR2..
So..What have we seen so far?

7 cowboy-looking characters appear on the horizon.

A friend pointed out that it's a nod to the Magnificent 7 movie, also about cowboys. 

Also, I'm thinking this could be a prequel story to RDR featuring Dutch's gang which John Marston was from. The events in RDR happens after John Marston left Dutch's gang and his time in the gang is talked about several times in the game. Wouldn't it be great to tell that story?

Either way, this is going to be 1 amazing game and hopefully it will match the standards people are expecting.

There were a couple of rumours, earlier this year, that RDR2 will be announced but after those no-shows, it is finally happening..

No accidental trailer leak or a released trailer out of nowhere. It's going to be a slow tease from the looks of it. The wait for Red Dead Redemption 2 has been long but these slow teases is going to be make the wait a lot more painful.

I'll continue posting the teasers here for as long as Rockstar Games wants to play this game, or rather until the announcement trailer is out. Keep checking back to see the latest updates.

And it's official! Red Dead Redemption 2..

Not Red Dead 3, Red Dead Redemption 3, Red Dead (Insert any word you can think of). 

Official announcement from Rockstar Games:

"Red Dead Redemption 2 will release worldwide in Fall 2017 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems. An epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland, the game's vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience. Watch the Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer at 11AM Eastern on Thursday, October 20th"

That should be 11pm, Oct 20 Singapore Time for us.

So no PC again. Perhaps later, but I tell my Master-race obsessed friends.. Welcome to the PS4 guys!

Temasek Thugs will continue going strong in RDR2 and I welcome, with open arms, anyone who is willing to ride posse with us!

GTA Online: Further adventures in Finance & Felony Trailer

GTA Online has seen plenty of updates over the years but it's not always the case that Rockstar Games releases a trailer when new content is added.

So, when there's a trailer.. you do know that that will be a major update.. and this time, it's going to be huge!

Further adventures in Finance and Felony promises to be a huge update, where players can build their own criminal empire.

GTA Online: Checking out the Be my Valentine update

Valentine's Day was just a few weeks ago and GTA Online had it's usual holiday updates with plenty of new content.

Like in previous years, Vintage was the Valentine's theme.

Plenty of Vintage Clothing options were added to dress up for the occasion..

Here's my vid showing all the different options that were added in the update.

The Albany Roosvelt, which was released in 2014, only for a short period of time, was back in stock along with a new Albany Roosvelt Valor.

Here's some pics that I took with the other crew members' rides. A mixture of the original Roosvelts and the new Roosvelt Valors.

Oh yea, looks like I went overboard with the filter.

GTA Online - Hanging out with the Crew, Yachts, Snowfall & Festive Surprises

A while back, I posted about my transfer to PS4 for GTA Online, and many of the Temasek Thugs' crew have also been progressively porting over to the PS4 in the past weeks.

That means.. I have been spending quite a lot of time over the holiday period on GTA. There was even plenty of new updates in the past weeks to keep it fresh.

One of the updates allowed players to purchase their very own yacht, which works like an apartment, but just a whole load more cooler.

Here's myself taking a dip in the yacht's pool, about to be harassed..

I didn't the cash to purchase myself a yacht so I was just a visiting guest on a friend's yacht. Check out the first part of the video below to see the interior & exterior of the yacht.

The 07:30 - 09:45 mark was a double fail and the rest of the video was just hanging out with the crew.

Owning a yacht is probably the coolest thing on GTA Online but I wish we could do a little bit more in the interior. Maybe play Darts or something? Maybe even a dance floor.. I dunno..just a little extra for those who spent 6-8 mill on the different yachts available.
However, it could be argued that the choppers and sea-based vehicles were worth the money..

Apart from helping out crew members with heists and missions, there's times where we prefer to fool around.

Just a few scratches while taking on the crew members.. Ouch!!

GTA Online also had something special during the Christmas period. For only a few days a year, snowfall comes to GTA.

There was also a wide range of Christmas-themed outfits and other clothings that is only available for a short period of time.

Transferring to GTA Online on PS4..

And finally! After almost a year since GTA V came to PS4, I finally transferred over!

The revival of the crew I manage, Temasek Thugs on the PS3 platform, was a reason why I had been putting it on hold for a long time. However, with some the members slowly porting over to the newer console, it was time to go ahead.

Oh and of course, the Limited Edition Halloween Surprise Vehicles which were only on the new consoles was another major reason why I couldn't wait any longer, haha!

Oh and it was the last weekend where I could redeem some in-game bonus cash for pre-ordering GTA V.. For some reason, I was thinking the code was valid till the end of the year, lucky me!

I actually thought the whole transfer process was actually quite cool. The transfer of your character's saved data was delivered in a way that it was meant to be a prison transfer. It wasn't very elaborate but it was a nice touch to give you that feel.

Oh yea for some reason, a lot of the completed in-game achievements popped up again giving me more RP. No complaints there! Along with some Special T-Shirts which were in my inventory upon transfer.

So what do I think after the transfer to PS4?

Same game but a whole lot of difference. The visual upgrade is definitely obvious once you enter into the open-world but there's several additional features and modes as well. 

First person-mode alone would be worth getting this game all over again. I can't get used to the First-person mode on GTA so I haven't tried much of it, but it's a new experience that I would have to get my hands on, while playing story mode all over again.

Because of the First-person mode, we can now see the interiors of our vehicles.. and with that, we can now even customize the interiors of vehicles that we own. Most developers would have saved themselves the trouble by cutting back to Normal view once you enter a vehicle..but not Rockstar Games.

With this kind of fan service and additional content, who needs to sell DLC when you can sell 54 million copies of the game?!

GTA Online adding more content with Ill Gotten Gains Packs

New content coming to GTA Online in a free update next week!

GTA Online - Heisting & a real funny incident!

Fully immersed in GTA Online once again!

Its reminded me a lot of what I hate about GTA Online but at the same time, I'm having fun with the Heists.

The loading times are terrible! While trying not to exaggerate, I actually am rather convinced my 'play time' and 'waiting times' are split 50-50. In fact, I'm typing this out as I'm waiting for a match to load. I would have made a lot more progress on this game if only the loading times were better. I'm hoping the loading is better on the PS4, that would give me a lot more incentive to hop over.

But the Heists are great! If you can find a group of friends that is.. Most of the heists can still be completed with randoms, since it's been a while and most players would already have been familiar with the missions. But there are still some missions which would definitely need coordination.

Thanks to fellow Temasek Thugs crew members, we have been heisting on most weeknights.

The Prison Break job was finally completed after a bunch of glitches and fail attempts. Was given the Demolitions role so I had access to a Buzzard attack chopper, to protect another member who was flying the escape plane, from military jets.

All this while, the other 2 members were breaking out a certain Rashkovsky from a prison.

So far, the Humane Labs Raid is one of the best Heists (Haven't tried the last one).

The Setup missions are epic on their own. First mission involved a deal; meetup at a location and exchange the goods. As usual, all hell breaks loose, the cops come swarming, and we had to fight them off.

2nd mission. we had to steal an Insurgent.

Probably one of the best vehicles added in the Heists update, comes with a mounted gun, to just blow things apart. Immediately knew this will be a fun weapon ride to have in freeroam..

At the end, the cutscene played and apparently we only needed the Insurgent without the gun for the actual Heist. Not that we had a choice though.. we need the gun to take out the mini-army they sent after us..

Forget stealing cars for setup missions.. How about stealing a Jet off an aircraft carrier? That was exactly what we did for the 3rd mission.

4th mission, we needed to acquire air support, the Valkyrie. Armed with an anti-aircraft gun for the co-pilot and 2 mini-guns on the sides, this is Heists' best vehicle.

We invaded a warehouse and took away with the Valkyrie, took down whatever air units they threw at us. The Valkyrie, no doubt, has plenty of firepower on-board but again plenty of coordination needed to face it in the right direction so your team members have a good aim at the approaching choppers. Something I didn't do right at the first round & the rest voted me out as pilot... (Haha!)

5th and final setup mission was the most frustrating until you are familiar with it. We had to invade the Humane Labs silently. All guards & scientists had to be taken out quietly or the mission would fail. Needed a few tries before we knew the positioning and sequence to take out the guards.

Finally got it done & all ready for the Heist!

Split into 2 teams; One team had to parachute in, make their way through the guards, collect the data and swim out underground onto the beach. The other team had to provide air support outside.

Had the chance to play on both teams and they were equally exciting.

The finale involved the ground team shooting a flare into the sky and pinpoint their location for the chopper to land. (Small detail that makes the heist just a little more epic). Heist completes, cutscene rolls and ends with us walking away with the chopper exploding in the background.

Absolutely epic stuff!

One of several new T-Shirts from the Heists update... this one was far for being the Heist Leader 25 times..

My Armoured Kuruma.. another new addition to GTA Online. This featured in the Flecca Job heist. Been a favourite of mine since getting it, the armour has been extremely useful in most of the missions. Definitely a good investment!

Ok.. this is 1 funny story..

Met this guy, Alain after he joined the crew, so we have been playing lots together. After we both got the Armoured Kuruma, he wanted to go for the Insurgent with the mounted gun. Alright, so he was saving up for it.. finally got it and when I got online, he told me about his new purchase. 

Cool! But he sold away his Kuruma so he didn't have a car. No problem, what are friends for eh? I let him make the call to Pegasus and he got into my car. He set the location on where his new Insurgent is, and I drove him there. 

So, we turned into this carpark and all we saw was this buggy at the location..

Me: Bro, where's your Insurgent?

Alain: I dunno ah, the map showed here..

Me: Nothing here what? Only this vehicle..

Alain: *Confused* Thats why..

Me: Don't tell me this is your Insurgent..

Alain: Hahaha no la!

Me: You paid 1.3mill for this?!!!

Alain: Haha fuck you la bro!

Me: *Getting on the buggy* Bro! Not bad but where's the turret?! Let's go create havoc with your "Insurgent"! Go! Go! Go!

Alain: Fuck you!!!!

Me: *topples over* I think you got cheated of your 1.3mill...

Nice stuff Alain! But seriously.. not sure it was a glitch or if he was drunk hahaha! Kidding bro! Never had this much laughs in a long time!

I'll update with more heists and maybe more funny stuff the next time round.. My match just finished loading...
