Overkill's The Walking Dead Trailer revealed!

Overkill Software finally revealed the first trailer for their Walking Dead first-person 4-player co-op game.

The trailer introduces one of the playable characters, Aidan.

A cool CGI trailer which gives a brief background of Aidan.

Here's an interview session with Overkill Software's Global Brand Director, Almir Listo,  Robert Kirkman, the creator of The Walking Dead.

It will be interesting to see how this turns out. I love The Walking Dead TV show (never read the comics) as well as Overkill's Payday 2. Combining these 2 together and we could get an amazing game!

The Walking Dead has fantastic characters and story-telling and Payday 2 has lots of replayability with their heists.

Match made in heaven? Perhaps..

Payday 2 was never great in terms of storytelling but that was probably because of the way the game was set up. They have great character trailers but in-game, there isn't much to develop on the characters. Any plot are in bits & pieces and you have to piece them together if you bother about that.

Of course, this is just my own concern... Just because Payday 2 didn't have a proper story, that certainly doesn't mean that this game won't.. Considering Robert Kirkman is working very closely with the development team, it makes sense for a proper story and character development to be part of the game.

Another concern is.. how will this differ from the numerous other 4-player co-op Zombie survival games? The concept itself is nothing new, so what is going to make this different from something that has been done so many times?

Apart from the game-play itself, I'm also concerned about how well they are going to support this on the consoles. If you played Payday 2 on consoles, you would have been rather frustrated about how long it took for DLC to reach us. No doubt, getting this on PC would be a wiser choice but I'm just so much more comfortable playing on my PS4..

Still.. this is something to look out for, next year, considering this has been in development for a few years now..

This was the teaser trailer from 3 years ago..

as well as some behind-the-scenes from their Dev Diary..

Question is.. are they still doing VR for this game as revealed in this trailer?
