Red Dead Redemption 2 - The Teases!

So, you have seen the teaser images? It is very highly likely that Rockstar Games are preparing to announce the highly-anticipated sequel to 2010's Red Dead Redemption.

Of course, at this point of time, it hasn't been confirmed officially that this is leading up to a RDR2 announcement. A remaster of the orignal RDR could very well happen and why not? RDR was one of the greatest games on PS3 and it would be a great chance for those who have never played it. Speaking of which, PC gamers are still waiting..

Or.. as a friend joked, it could be the build-up to GTA Online's Halloween DLC content.. Oh my!

However, everyone else seems to believe that the images are for RDR2..
So..What have we seen so far?

The colour theme of Red Dead Redemption...

Oct 17 2016

7 cowboy-looking characters appear on the horizon.

A friend pointed out that it's a nod to the Magnificent 7 movie, also about cowboys.

Also, I'm thinking this could be a prequel story to RDR featuring Dutch's gang which John Marston was from. The events in RDR happens after John Marston left Dutch's gang and his time in the gang is talked about several times in the game. Wouldn't it be great to tell that story?

Either way, this is going to be 1 amazing game and hopefully it will match the standards people are expecting.

There were a couple of rumours, earlier this year, that RDR2 will be announced but after those no-shows, it is finally happening..

No accidental trailer leak or a released trailer out of nowhere. It's going to be a slow tease from the looks of it. The wait for Red Dead Redemption 2 has been long but these slow teases is going to be make the wait a lot more painful.

I'll continue posting the teasers here for as long as Rockstar Games wants to play this game, or rather until the announcement trailer is out. Keep checking back to see the latest updates.

And it's official! Red Dead Redemption 2..

Not Red Dead 3, Red Dead Redemption 3, Red Dead (Insert any word you can think of).

Official announcement from Rockstar Games:

"Red Dead Redemption 2 will release worldwide in Fall 2017 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems. An epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland, the game's vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience. Watch the Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer at 11AM Eastern on Thursday, October 20th"

That should be 11pm, Oct 20 Singapore Time for us.

So no PC again. Perhaps later, but I tell my Master-race obsessed friends.. Welcome to the PS4 guys!

Temasek Thugs will continue going strong in RDR2 and I welcome, with open arms, anyone who is willing to ride posse with us!

Looking forward to Mafia 3!

Mafia 3! Already have the game but have yet to touch it because of the GameStart 2016 convention over the weekend.. I haven't read the reviews but I have seen mostly positive comments about it, so that's good... Not going to let anything spoil my excitement so I have been avoiding the negative reviews for now.

I have always been a fan of the Mafia/Gangster theme in movies & games and Mafia 3 was one of my most anticipated games of 2016.

I have been watching the trailers in the weeks leading up to the game. Gonna put them up here for 1 more watch before I start the game, hopefully tonight.

The Case Files

and meet the Characters of Mafia 3!

To top it off, I have been playing Mafia 2 in the build-up to the release. Completed it the previous weekend and loved it.

Huge cliffhanger at the end and I really wanted to know what happened after that. Perhaps some answers would be revealed in Mafia 3 since Vito is in the game too.

There's also DLC planned for the game so perhaps we could see Vito's story similar to the DLC in Mafia 2 where the story was focused on other characters.

Already bought the Deluxe Edition, which comes with the Season Pass because the vinyls in the Collector's Edition would be a waste without a Vinyl player... Unless... I win this!

Very hyped for the game.. Can't wait to get started on this!

GameStart 2016 - The Night before

It's that time of the year again! GameStart 2016 Weekend starts tomorrow, 7 Oct and lasts for 3 days till 9 Oct.

Singapore's very own annual gaming convention! There's going to be tons of games, merchandise, competitions, deals and so much more in store for attendees.

GameStart is only in it's 3rd year and having attended the first 2 years, I'm definitely going again. Bought the VIP ticket last year, which came in very, very handy in beating the queues for the popular attractions. I had no regrets on that purchase and I bought the VIP ticket again this year.

That means I'll be able to enter at 11am tomorrow, instead of 2pm for the regular ticket holders! I absolutely hate queues so it's definitely going to come in handy for the next 3 days. That said.. Hopefully the $70 ticket purchase, which comes with the Official T-shirt, is worth the price.

There is already a huge concern due to the alarming absence of any PlayStation exclusives or a proper PlayStation booth this year.

A few weeks ago, it was announced that PlayStation Asia would be presenting the South East Major 2016 at GameStart 2016; one of the largest fighting game tournaments in Asia.

Great news for fighting game fanatics but where are the game demos?

PS4 Pro and PlayStation VR are huge hardware releases for PlayStation in the coming months. Aren't we going to get a chance to check it out?

I know of many friends who were looking forward to this but are now seriously considering not even attending. Looks like I'm going to be the 'guinea pig' who's going to 'review' the convention on the 1st day. Hoping there will be a few surprises that will allow me to convince them to head down.

On a positive note, XBox Singapore, who were a no-show in the 2 years are finally making their entrance. At least on a gaming point of view, there will be something to look forward to.

I will be updating my Instagram live from the showfloor tomorrow. So, if you are still on the fence about attending or want to get an early preview, do follow my Instagram account. Of course, my International friends, you wouldn't want to miss out on this gaming fiesta either. Hoping to see & take pics of lots of interesting gaming cosplayers too!

Don't have a Instagram account? You can follow me on Facebook or Twitter as well. Feel free to let me know what you would like to see and I'll do my best to do more coverage on that.

Don't be shy, just click on the links and give me a Like/Follow!

Mafia 3 Promo Swag for the Collectors

I have been a Videogame collector for a good 7 years now (Wow! Time flies) and have seen my fair share of collectibles & swag over the years.. In all those years, the Mafia 2 Gun Lamp remains as one of the coolest ever collectible I have ever seen.

Source Pic: GamesRadar

There has been a couple of other cool promos from the Mafia franchise and 2K looks to continue the trend with the latest swag for Mafia 3.

Check out some items that are given out to the Press.

Check out the 3rd pic.. That my friends.. is a portable turntable! Whoever created that is a genius!

My issue with the Mafia 3 Collector's Edition was that if I got it, I don't have the means to able to play the vinyls. They were just going to sit there and look pretty. Now, for the lucky people who receive this, that problem would be solved..

Here's a better look at the promo items as well as an unboxing of the Collector's Edition.

Amazing eh? If only I could get my hands on that turntable, I will head out and get the CE as well..

Damtoys & Phicen reveal Warcraft Movie Statues

Damtoys & Phicen finally revealed the long-awaited Warcraft statues based on the recent movie.. And boy was it worth the wait!

I think there was some confusion initially that all statues on display were by Damtoys but I managed to get into contact with a rep Damtoys, and they have confirmed that Damtoys and Phicen are separate companies but both will be doing 1/4 and 1/3 statues from the Warcraft movie, but different characters.

Only Gul'dan & Orgrim Doomhammer are produced by Damtoys are in 1/4 scale. The rest are by Phicen with a couple of 1/3 pieces (Yet to be confirmed)

Choosing to go mixed-media, the details and movie accuracy is remarkable! Below are some pics from various sources at the recent China CICF convention. All photos are not mine, all credit goes to the respective uploaders..

Damtoys - Gul'dan

Damtoys - Orgrim Doomhammer

Phicen - Durotan

Phicen - Garona

Phicen - Garona (Armoured)

Phicen - Khadgar

Phicen - Axe of Durotan

I think everything looks crazy detailed. The details on the hair, fur & their outfits are just amazing. From the pics alone, I think they look almost perfect. The armoured Garona seems to have her head turned a bit way too much however.

Not sure what scale these are but the Durotan & Garona looks to be 1/3. The armoured Garona & Khadgar are 1/4?

When Weta Workshop and Gentle Giant showed off their Warcraft statues at SDCC 2016, I was itching to pre-order something but wanted to see what Damtoys and Phicen would come up with.. and from the looks of these, looks like it was a good decision to wait.

Will also be interesting to see how these 2 companies split up the statues between them, considering both are doing the same license, scale & probably targeting the same regional market. The good thing is they look like they could be displayed alongside each other.

No details on pre-orders yet but I will be watching these closely. These have turned out better than expected!
