AC Unity Phantom Blade Pics

Here's some pics of my Assassin's Creed Unity Phantom Blade from McFarlane Toys.

Hopefully the 'French Calvary Pistol' can be redeemed without any problems. I'm still having problems redeeming the codes from the Series 2 figures

All nicely packed..

Time to take it out..

Great detail on the Phantom Blade replica. Texture and the details make it look a lot more expensive that it actually is.

Turn on Assassin Mode!

Looks and feels awesome. It's comfortable to wear but I still don't get how Assassins have these equipped on their hands and yet do all those stunts that they do.. What's that I hear? Video Games? Ahh.. yes.. Video Games aren't real.

There are 2 buttons at the bottom.. 1's for the Hidden Blade to spring out and the other's to shoot out the arrow. The blade and arrow are real easy to push back and they lock into place until you are ready to spring them into action. (If you can figure out which way the arrow goes in.. that is. Took me a while to realise I had my arrow upside down so was having some trouble making it lock at first.. Glad I don't do Youtube videos.. that would have been embarrassing to watch..)

Warning here.. The blade and arrow are made of latex but that's not to say they aren't dangerous. Don't fool around with the spring blade trying to jab it into someone's neck, it does hurt. I tried it on my hand.

Looks great as a cosplay piece but I'm not into that.. so for me, it makes a nice display piece..

The most complicated  Hidden Blade since the start of the series. Dual-purpose with the hidden blade and the mini-crossbow. McFarlane Toys has done well to replicate it.

Will look great beside last year's AC IV Hidden Blade!

2015's Assassin's Creed to be set in Victorian London

I haven't even started on this year's AC games but next year's Assassin's Creed game has already been leaked.

It's apparently named Assassin's Creed Victory for now and will be set in 19th Century Victorian London, according to the report by Kotaku.

Not just a rumour this time, Ubisoft has already confirmed that it's legit to Joystiq. However, they seemed to be upset about the leak and based on public opinion, it looks like it was a very bad time to leak out a new game when a lot of gamers have not gotten over the AC Unity mess.

Anyway, I'm not surprised at the timeline at all and I'm pretty sure a lot of AC fans wouldn't be either.

The Victorian London era was already teased in an in-game email within AC IV's modern storyline..

Here are some shots that I took a few weeks back, and just as I was about to start speculating which era will be next.. the leak has spoiled it for me..

Anyway here are the pics from AC IV..

Mongol Empire, American West, Japan are all possibilities for future Assassin's Creed games. Victorian London and the French Evolution eras were also teased in the pics above, which are proven already.

Here are some pics from Kotaku from AC Victory

Swinging assassinations! Possible grappling hook weapon mentioned in the Kotaku article.

Change Outfit. Hmm.. could this be a quick-change option to disguise youself? Look at the lady handing our Assassin a hat.. No more diving into hay?

The Kotaku article also mentions some new gameplay innovations and here is a fight on top of a moving vehicle perhaps?

So from Paris to London..

What's with the Victorian London setting anyway?  2015 seems to be all about this era, with The Order and Bloodborne both set in this era and now we have AC Victory joining in.

I'm usually excited about a new AC game but I think this leak couldn't have come at a worse timing. I'll think about this later. I'll head to Paris first..

Unboxing pics of AC Unity US Collector's Edition

Finally it has arrived!

The wait for this year's Assassin's Creed stuff seems to have taken a lot longer than usual but here's the first.. the US Collector's Edition.

Got the PS4 edition of course.. This is after taking off the slip cover, which I did take pics of but accidentally deleted.

Comes with some standard CE contents like the..

Artbook

Strangely, this year, the mini Artbook comes in a portrait layout rather than the usual landscape style that's so common of these mini Artbooks. Looks the same size though..

Some pics inside..

Soundtrack

As much I as enjoy the Soundtracks of the AC franchise, I haven't been using the discs from the different CEs over the years. I'll just plug in to YouTube whenever I'm in the mood.. They really should start including digital codes to download the soundtracks together with the disc.

But then they decide you should play your own music manually with this..

Music Box

The music box plays the ever-famous tune of Ezio's Family from AC2 which is also supposedly part of the AC Unity theme song.

Very cool part of the CE, brings back a lot of memories of Ezio who does look a lot like AC Unity's Arno to be honest.

Speaking of Arno.. What is a Assassin's Creed Collector's Edition without a Arno figurine?

I don't have an answer to that so just let me show you pics of the..

Arno Figurine

Great looking statue, have him on display up high on a shelf and it looks amazing.

I appreciate the more dynamic expression that they have give him in this which adds a lot more character to the figurine rather than the usual expressionless ones from the previous figurines.

I forgot to check but I'm assuming this was done by PureArts under the UbiCollectibles brand as well. Good stuff!

Assassin's Creed Unity (US) Collector's Edition

Pretty standard contents for a Assassin Collector's Edition with the Artbook, Figurine and Soundtrack. They did something different with the Music Box however. Map and Steelbook are a no-show this year so it certainly feels like we are getting less for the same price with this Collector's Edition.

A little disappointed to be honest but I'll just enjoy looking at the Arno figurine.
