20th Anniversary Edition Coloured PS4 Controller and Headset announced

The 20th Anniversary Edition Controller and Headset will be released individually sometime around September in US, Europe & Asia..

The Controller

And the "Gold" Wireless Headset..

Even the Playstation logo is of the original PSX logo. Pretty cool!

Guess this is the only way I can get my nostalgic fix since I missed out on the 20th anniversary PS4 Console..

E3 2015 - Ubisoft Press Conference

Woke up at 6am this morning to catch the Ubisoft Press Conference. Ubisoft has been in the news for all the wrong reasons in the recent year but I can't deny that they still make some fantastic games.

Here's what one of my favourite developers, seconded only by Rockstar, had on show.

Not going to talk about everything but just my favourites..

For Honor

Here's the World Premiere Trailer at the conference..

And some gameplay..

I have been wanting someone to do a game like this. Enough with the PvP shooter games, I wanted to see a solid melee-combat PvP. And considering it's 4v4 team-based, it's even better!

The game was presented by Creative Producer, Jason Vandenberghe who looked like he could fit right in the game himself.

If they can get the controls and mechanics right for this, it's going to be a real fun game.

Outside the Press Conference, this gameplay walkthrough video was also released..

I registered for the early access here, probably for Alpha or Beta access..

The Crew

Enjoyed the Beta for the original game before it's release but didn't get in the end.. But it's good to see it doing well and that it will be getting a whole new expansion pack on 17th Nov 2015..

The Division

After the delay, it was a bit quiet from The Division but here it is with a release date!

E3 Trailer

and Multiplayer gameplay footage..

Looking good, sucks if you are at the receiving end of your team going rogue though..

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Another of Tom Clancy's shooters, Rainbow Six Siege will be out on 13 Oct 2015.

and Gameplay Demo

Assassin's Creed Syndicate

A Ubisoft Press Conference isn't complete without a Assassin's Creed game and of course each year I look forward to their oh-so-beautiful Cinematic Trailers..

And there's this Gameplay walkthrough video which didn't appear at Ubisoft's Press Conference, probably cut because of time..

I have my complains about the game and the franchise as a whole but Assassin's Creed is still a franchise close to my heart and I'm still excited for what this latest installment will bring.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands

And probably leaving one of the best for last.. Ghost Recon: Wildlands!

This came as a surprise to me. Watching the premiere trailer, I had no idea what this was but it looked so damn cool! For the first time in the franchise, Ghost Recon: Wildlands will be an open-world game. We will get access to many vehicles on air, land & sea.

For more info on the game, check out DualShockers' FAQ for more info.

Strangely, I was most impressed by this game from the 3 Tom Clancy's shooters. I think it's a combination of the Drug Cartel setting as well as the excitement of seeing it for the very first time. Have high hopes for this.

So yup.. that's all the stuff that caught my interest from Ubisoft's Press Conference...

I felt that Bethesda's showcase yesterday showed a lot more gameplay compared to Ubisoft. But Ubisoft had plenty more games on show, with some big, exciting ones. Mixed up some new IPs like For Honor with fan-favourites like Assassin's Creed Syndicate.

Still... Ubisoft disappointed me because there was no fucking Prince of Persia!!!!!

Dammit, make the game already! Instead of 3 Tom Clancy shooters, there could have been a Prince of Persia game!

Anyway.. check out the entire Ubisoft Press Conference (that has no Prince of Persia) below..

Yup, no Prince of Persia..

E3 2015 - Bethesda Press Conference

Back from my short trip across the Causeway (Singapore to JB), just in time for E3 2015! Still on leave so I can watch all the Press Conferences live!

Starting off E3 2015 was Bethesda this morning. I'm not a big fan of their games to be honest. They make some amazing games but just not my type.

This was the first time Bethesda is holding a Press Conference at E3 and they had some some big games to show; Fallout 4, Doom, Elder Scrolls and a leaked Dishonoured 2 announcement.

Doom

I have never played any of the Doom games but I wanted to check out what was new in this game.

Initially, it looked rather generic but towards the end, it showed off some cool stuff, especially the melee finishers. Cool looking monsters too!

Check out the E3 Gameplay footage below..

Still nothing that made me go WOW.. or anything that makes me want to get this. Wanna see more of this before I decide.

Slated for a Spring 2016 (2nd Quarter) release for PS4, XBox One & PC.

Elder Scrolls

A franchise I know nothing about, so I'll just share the vids..

New changes coming to Elder Scrolls Online..

There's also a Strategy Card game coming for the Elder Scrolls Franchise; The Elder Scrolls: Legends.

Here's a teaser trailer..

Dishonoured

Ah yes, probably the only game that I was looking forward to in the Bethesda Showcase.. I think it was supposed to be a surprise but it was accidentally leaked out 1 or 2 days back.

Always sucks when surprise announcements at E3 gets leaked. It just ruins the entire experience for me. As a live viewer of the E3 Press Conferences every year, I tend to rate each E3 based on the surprise announcements they actually manage to keep until the actual show.

They can hype up the event as much as they want.. "Oh we are going to have this and that game at E3, gamers should be excited" but I think you guys will agree with me when I say the real excitement is when there is a reveal or announcement that you hear for the very first time at the live conferences. Nothing beats that and that's what makes me stay up in the crazy hours just to watch everything live.

Anyway.. Yes Dishonoured 2 was announced!

Been wanting to play the first game after all the good stuff I heard about it. Got it free from the PS Plus but still have yet to touch it.

Here's the reveal trailer..

I think I'm missing some of the hints from the trailer since I haven't played the first but it looks cool! You will be able to play as the new female character from the trailer or the guy from the first game. (Sorry didn't catch their names!)

No release date yet but it will be coming to PC, PS4 and XBox One.

There was also the announcement of the Definitive Edition for the first game which will be released on 25 Aug 2015 for the PS4 and XBox One.. Hmm should I get the PS4 edition or just play it for free on the PS3?

BattleCry

Had to drop off my kid at school so I missed this announcement.. But here's the trailer!

Fallout

Of course, the big one was Fallout 4! Huge fanbase for this and yet again I have never played these..

Plenty of gameplay shown at their press conference..

They also revealed a Collector's Edition called the Pip-Boy Edition!

Hardcore Fallout fans might love this..

And for fans who can't wait for the Nov 10 2015 release, Bethesda announced a iOS Mobile game; Fallout Shelter, which is available now already.

Looks interesting.. Reminds me a bit of Sims..

Here's the Gameplay footage..

And yup.. that's all for the gaming news from Bethesda's Conference..

All attendees were also given a Limited Edition Vinyl Figure Set as a token of appreciation for their first ever E3 Showcase..

Cool stuff!

And of course, if you want to watch the entire Bethesda Press Conference, here it is..

Uncharted Trilogy Coming to PS4!

The Uncharted Trilogy will be remastered for the PS4 as Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection!

As one of a group of very few 'Playstation-only gamers' who has never played the Uncharted games, this is super awesome news for me! (I might probably the only one, actually...)

For some weird reason, I have never bought or even tried a Uncharted game even though I have been a Playstation console owner since the PS2 days..

But, it has always been one of the games that I would have liked to play. With the huge backlog I already have, it just didn't happen.

So, when rumours started appearing about a possible Remastered Trilogy coming to the PS4, it's definitely great news. Of course, with Uncharted 4 coming out sometime next year, this makes it even more awesome!

I was stunned with Naughty Dog's story-telling in The Last of Us, so looking forward to dwell into the world of Uncharted as well.

Here's the announcement trailer..

The collection will be released on Oct 9 2015 and will include the first 3 console games (Drake's Fortune, Among Thieves, Drake's Deception), a new Photo Mode & additional trophy support. Great photo-taking opportunities with the Collection's 1080p and 60fps with better lighting, textures, and models.

There will be no multiplayer in the games but it will include beta access to Uncharted 4's Multiplayer,  while it lasts, possibly in a form of a dlc voucher. That's ok for me, don't want to be caught up in past games' multiplayer. I just wanna focus on the singleplayer.

Pre-orders will also get us the Nathan Drake Pack which includes single player skins of iconic Drake outfits as well as the Golden AK-47 and Golden 92FS guns. Digital preorder-ers will also get a Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection PS4 dynamic theme as an immediate download.

Cool Stuff! Well, guess the Remastered games do have their advantages, reaching out to a new generation of gamers as well as the older gamers who have missed out on some very excellent games!

Mezco - 12 Inch Scorpion & Sub-Zero Figures revealed

4 inches, 6 inches and now 12 inches!

If you ask me, they look pretty much the same as the smaller versions, but I guess big is better right?

There seems to be different weapons accessories available for these bigger figures however, and the detail should probably be a bit better on larger-scale figures generally.

And if you aren't interested in World Box's MK9 figures, then here's the latest MKX versions, though I wouldn't think they are in the same league in terms of quality.

Only these 2 characters announced so far for the 12-inch scale. Let's see if they do more..

World Box - Scorpion 1/6 Figure Revealed

And finally the 3rd figure in this line is revealed..

Looking good, though I think the head is a bit too mohawkish..

Nice skull head accessory as well! A real pity they didn't add a Sub-Zero fatality head accessory as well. I'm sure that would have been a favourite among us collectors.

A cool line but they have been very slow with their releases. So far, it's been a 1pc/year release. Thought that this line could have been doing a lot better especially with the popularity of Mortal Kombat now..

This is stated for a 4th Quarter 2015 release, but we will probably only see it early next year.

If I remember correctly, the only other figure that was planned was a Jade. Looking forward to that and hopefully they continue making more. MK 9 had some really cool designs that they could work with. No idea if they have the license for MK X though..

Anyway.. I just realise I haven't gotten pics of my Sub-Zero and Kung Lao figures yet..
