Uncharted 4 Statue new pics!

Sony's Fabrication Group announced & revealed the Uncharted 4 Statue a while back, which looked simply amazing but they have made some additions in the recent weeks.

Here are the updated pics!

Did you catch the difference?

I might have missed it if I didn't already know but Nathan Drake now wears a watch. It's a small addition but if you're a fan of the series, you would know Drake always wears a watch in all the games and it's a nice touch to the statue.

The pose is of Nathan Drake pulling off his signature aerial takedown move and the statue captures all of its glory. This is a must-have for all PlayStation fans and of course, anyone who calls themselves a Uncharted fan!

Sony's Fabrication Group has produced some amazing statues in the past and this will be another great addition to their line-up.

This will be limited to only 1500 pieces worldwide and is up for preorder at Sideshow Collectibles for only USD$350. That's a very reasonable price for something this huge!

Can't wait to own this and pssstt.. we just might have 1 more surprise very soon!

Uncharted 4 Statue revealed by Playstation Gear Store

With PSX 2016 happening over the weekend, we got some amazing news from Naughty Dog. Lots of gaming goodness expected from them.

Great games will always be something to look back upon in the future and a good figure/statue on my display always helps...

Looks like the team behind the Sony Interactive Entertainment America's Fabrication Group are looking to put one on my shelf.

At PSX 2016, a 20" polystone Uncharted 4 statue was revealed, featuring Nathan Drake performing his signature takedown on a Shoreline soldier.

Limited to 1500 pieces worldwide, this is currently available for pre-order at the Playstation Gear Store for 350USD and is expected to release in April/May 2017.

Unfortunately, that link doesn't work for those outside the NA region but not to worry. I have info from a reliable source that this will also be available on Sideshow, sometime next week for international collectors. (Will update with the link once it's up)

Edit: It's up on Sideshow at this link.

While this is stated as 1/6 scale, at 20", this stands taller than a regular 1/4 statue. Here's a pic of Gary Barth, Art Director/Project Manager for this project, sitting proudly behind this masterpiece, to put things into perspective.

That is 1 huge piece!

Here's a couple more pics from the showfloor at PSX 2016. (All credits to the photographer)

Loving it! It's great that they went for a dynamic diorama rather than a museum pose, bringing out Nathan Drake's bad-ass attitude.

Naughty Dog has been working very closely with Gary on the development of this statue so as to get the most accurate representation of this character... and as amazing as it looks, this isn't the finished piece yet. There's going to be a few tweaks; minor paint improvements and they are also going to add Drake's iconic watch to the statue. Amazing!

Definitely, going to grab this when it's open for pre-order. Still missing a standout statue from this iconic series and this is definitely the one to go for. Very reasonable price for this huge piece, I expect this to be grabbed up by fans of this franchise.

Uncharted 4 Treasure Chest with Coins Pics

Picked this up for a friend and he was nice enough to let me take some pics for the blog!

A mini treasure chest replica with fake coins inside. This was given out as a contest prize given out at the Singapore Uncharted 4 Midnight Launch event organised by PlayStation Asia. From what I know, only 3 of these were given out.

Given a nice weathered and vintage look.

A small envelope with a note inside..

More of a promo note for the game and the different editions that were available in Singapore.

Every treasure chest needs to have its treasure..

A very, very cool-looking promo item given out by PlayStation Asia! Hopefully they will continue making similar quality collectibles in the future for more games!

Mobile Monday: Uncharted Fortune Hunter

Been a while since I did the Mobile Monday section, but I'm back with a new mobile game - Uncharted Fortune Hunter!

Uncharted Fortune Hunter is a free-to-play Puzzle game, which sees Nathan Drake & Sully, solve puzzles to loot treasure, all while continuing their hilarious exchanges albeit in text form. If you know the characters, you can surely enjoy the conversations, reading it in their voices!

Go on, read it in their voices! You know you want to...

The Mobile game will allow you to unlock various rewards, some of which for the Uncharted 4 Console game.

These rewards can be unlocked via coins, keys or completing certain objectives.

Coins can be earned by solving puzzles or unlocking treasure chests via keys.

Unfortunately, once you open a chest, there's a wait time before you can open another.

and these wait times get longer as you unlock more!

Thankfully, you can get Sully to inform you whenever the game's ready to let you unlock the next chest!

The rewards for the Uncharted 4 game will require you to sign in to your existing PSN account (so much easier than other games that require you to register to a separate service!) and it will transfer automatically.

Does it work? I'll have to get the game first to try it out, hehe!

Of course, there's going to be micro-transactions!

As of now, it looks like they are 'time-saver packs' rather than exclusive items and I'm confident they will keep it that way, since they already revealed that all UC4 Multiplayer content will be free!

I'm enjoying the game so far.. The puzzles aren't that tough but I have only started.. Still plenty of puzzle challenges to complete..

and that's just the first section!

Uncharted Fortune Hunter is definitely not the same action as what we are used to in Uncharted 4 but if you enjoy puzzle solving, this is worth checking out.

Being able to unlock additional content for the Uncharted 4 Multiplayer is definitely a bonus, especially if the mobile content is exclusive and you stand out from the rest. Do try it out, and let me know what you think!

What if... Nathan Drake dies in Uncharted 4 because of...

I have been playing the Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection recently, trying to complete the trilogy before the release of Uncharted 4.

Really good stuff, can't believe I have been missing out on the series up till now. Fighting off bad guys, puzzle solving, digging up mystical treasures etc, all packed with interesting characters and an intriguing plot.

Oh and did I say.. digging up mystical treasures.. Yea some of the creatures and mystical objects seem out of this world.. some of which can be destructive to the world if they fall in the wrong hands..

That got me thinking..

What if.. Nathan Drake dies in Uncharted 4 because of the virus from The Last of Us?

It could be that Drake catches the virus or someone with the virus kills him.. The events in UC4 could lead to the events in TLOU. While not confirmed, there's been talk that the Uncharted and The Last of Us games share the same universe.. So why not?

Possible, no? Share your thoughts below!

Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Updates

Uncharted 4's Single Player story mode will probably be the first thing everyone's going to jump into when the game releases next week.

However, to keep us playing long after we the story is done, Naughty Dog has huge plans in store..

With new content lined up till mid of next year, there's plenty of reasons to keep coming back to UC4's multiplayer modes.

And.. if you are thinking, sorry man, I don't buy Multiplayer DLC.. there's good news for you!

Naughty Dog has announced that all Multiplayer content will be accessible without any monetary costs. While new Maps & Modes will be available to everyone free-of-charge on the same day, Gameplay items can be unlocked via Relics, the in-game currency.

Got to say I give a huge thumbs up to Naughty Dog for this decision.
While I don't fully disagree with paid content; By providing new Multiplayer content for free, they have a strong vision to keep the Multiplayer community alive for a long time.. which is ultimately the most important key in Multiplayer games.

Of course, hopefully the content is exciting and intriguing enough for players to keep playing.

For all the details on Uncharted 4's Multiplayer, check out the US PlayStation Blog.

Just under a week more for UC4's release! Here's a short trailer to keep you going till next week..

Singapore fans, don't forget to check out the Midnight Launch event for Uncharted 4 happening on May 9, 6pm to May 10, 2am!
