Today was one of the saddest days in my collecting life...
With the recent announcement of Assassin's Creed Mirage, I was inspired to check out some of my Assassin's Creed collectibles that I had kept in storage. On a day that I was expecting to be a nice, enjoyable time, where it would bring back some very wonderful memories, turned out to be a shock..
One of my most prized possessions from my Assassin's Creed collection, the AC III Tomahawk Replica, was always something I was proud of owning.. Brought it out to the hall, cut up the bubble wrap, opened the box and wanting to hold this amazing piece, I was shocked to see this..
The entire head just disintegrated..
I don't even know how to say it.. but my heart just sank. This wasn't some cheap mass-produced collectible that broke where I could just look for another one.
No idea how this could have happened and I was too embarrassed to talk about this for a while but I think it would serve as a warning to other collectors. Haven't seen this happened to other collectors so I guess I just hadn't stored it properly and perhaps the conditions it was stored under, was just not right for this material.
Having moved to our new place, this was one of the items that I had kept in storage till I got more shelves. Still not having enough space to display, I have been thinking of selling away some of the bigger items. I knew that I couldn't bring myself to sell some of these items from the AC Series which have been a huge part of my collecting life.
Still remember when I first revealed this item on my blog when I got it, all those years ago. However, now seeing this totally destroyed, made me re-think and I have decided to part with some of the larger items in my collection.
I have dropped pics of some of the items that I'm planning to sell over at my Facebook page. So, my loss is your again.. If you are genuinely interested in the items, please make a serious offer and we will try to arrange a mutually-beneficial deal.
It saddens me to sell the rest of these rare stuff but I don't want to be keeping them in storage even longer. Do ask for more pics if you want to see them in closer detail but I have checked them thoroughly.
