The blade is actually made of rubber so it's bendable so it's not very dangerous. I did put my hand in front of the blade and released the spring and it does hurt a bit as the tip is rather hard. So heed the warning.. this is definitely NOT a toy.

The Hidden Blade Replica does look pretty close to the one in-game. I feel that McFarlane has done a good job with this and I hope they continue making the hidden blades from the other Assassins. One can only hope but could this be a sign of things to come?

I can't say which of the two I prefer. Wouldn't be fair either as both were based on different Hidden Blades.
